SAAM + CAPM Launch 2024
April 2024 is here and that means it is Sexual Assault Action Month (SAAM) and Child Abuse Prevention Month (CAPM). The Oregon Coalition against Domestic and Sexual Violence’s (OCADSV) 2024 SAAM theme is "Breaking the Mold: Building Movements Rooted in Joy."
We, at Oregon SATF, partnered with OCADSV for a live SAAM and CAPM launch to begin a joyful April, offering a space to break barriers between service provider sectors.
The virtual event happened on March 25th from 1-2pm (Pacific) for our joint SAAM/CAPM launch. At the event, folx shared plans for these action months, heard about OCADSV and ORSATF’s offerings for SAAM/CAPM, and collaborated with other action month organizers.

Do you have thoughts on why shared prevention strategies for Child Abuse and Sexual Assault are important to our efforts? If you are interested, we would love to hear from you! Oregon Child Abuse Solutions and SATF are collecting video responses from partners the first two weeks of April to weave together into a short video to send out across Oregon at the end of the month. Click HERE to sign up for a time to record with us. If you would like to send a written statement, pre recorded video, or would like more information, please contact SATF Abuse Prevention Coordinator, Eli Cox at eli@oregonsatf.org
Utilize the resources on this page, or sign up for some of the listed training opportunities, to help examine the overlap between abuse and violence prevention efforts, and support our collective prevention work! We know that these issues share common root causes and CAPM/SAAM is the perfect time to dig a little deeper into those places where the work connects!
