Connecting CAPM + SAAM

This April, Oregon SATF is excited to share some resources outlining the ways that we can collectively observe and collaborate on both of these important action months.

Read on for more information about how you can connect Child Abuse + Sexual Assault Action months in your community, or check out our 2020 guide “Shared Strategies for SAAM + CAPM”!

3 Strategies to connect CAPM + SAAM in your community

  1. Share messaging and posts that highlight both CAPM & SAAM on your social media when possible! This helps our communities understand the connections between violence and abuse across the lifespan. Feel free to use the visuals above and below and connect with a community partner to add your logos and share jointly in your community. (Link to download images)

  2. Do you have thoughts on why shared prevention strategies for Child Abuse and Sexual Assault are important to our efforts? If you are interested, we would love to hear from you! Oregon Child Abuse Solutions and SATF are collecting video responses from partners the first two weeks of April to weave together into a short video to send out across Oregon at the end of the month. Click HERE to sign up for a time to record with us. If you would like to send a written statement, pre recorded video, or would like more information, please contact SATF Abuse Prevention Coordinator, Eli Cox at eli@oregonsatf.org

  3. Utilize the resources on this page, or sign up for some of the listed training opportunities, to help examine the overlap between abuse and violence prevention efforts, and support our collective prevention work! We know that these issues share common root causes and CAPM/SAAM is the perfect time to dig a little deeper into those places where the work connects!
