We often talk about compassion fatigue (CF) and vicarious trauma (VT) in sexual violence advocacy and response work, but what about for preventionists? Prevention and education work poses unique risk factors for both VT and CT, and can manifest differently in individuals doing prevention.

In part two of our series on sustainability, we will discuss how compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma can manifest for both professionals and students doing prevention work on college campuses, and will help preventionists brainstorm strategies to prevent and reduce both VT and CF.
