Comprehensive Prevention Toolkit (Version 3.0)

This toolkit has been designed to be both a resource and a guide for anyone in the state of Oregon who is interested in preventing violence.

ABOUT THE TOOLKIT

The prevention of sexual violence and abuse is the primary focus of this toolkit. And, because many forms of oppression that serve as the root causes of violence and abuse also serve as the root causes for other forms of social inequities and public health issues, this toolkit can be utilized broadly across subject matters.

Informed by violence and abuse prevention specialists and other professionals all across the state, the goal of this toolkit is to support effective and thoughtful efforts, that collaboratively work to prevent violence and abuse across the life span. It combines public health theory, current best practices, and tips from state and national partners.

HOW TO USE THIS TOOLKIT

While we recommend moving through the workbook chronologically, you can also move through each section independently, gaining insight and inspiration for current strengths and challenges.
