What you will do in this role

The Sexual Assault Training Institute (SATI) Coordinator serves as Oregon SATF’s primary point of contact and instructor for all learning events that occur within the SATI, as well as our training administrative lead in support of training that occurs across each of our four programs.

In this role, you will spend your time:

  • Designing and delivering in-person training via SATF’s Sexual Assault Training Institute, which provides trauma-informed training and technical assistance to systems partners, including those working in the criminal justice system and sexual assault response teams;

  • Collaborating with SATF’s SANE Coordinator to provide regular training opportunities to individuals currently working as, or interested in becoming, certified sexual assault nurse examiners (SANEs);

  • Cultivating and maintaining multi-disciplinary relationships with community partners working to collectively prevent violence and abuse across the lifespan, including advocates, preventionists, law enforcement, prosecutors, healthcare providers, campus program staff, and other community members;

  • Administering SATF’s online eLearning program (ScholarLMS), including managing registration, maintenance of online eLearning modules, and troubleshooting any technical issues with online learners;

  • Providing eLearning technical support to SATF’s program staff, which could include, but is not limited to, supporting staff members in creating online training curriculums and training SATF staff about the various functions of ScholarLMS;

  • Participating in grant writing, reporting, and communication with grant monitors related to grant program activities and goals;

  • Managing general email and phone inquiries from individuals and organizations related to training and professional development;

  • Coordinating accessibility and accommodation requests from registrants of in person and eLearning activities; and

  • Participating in evaluation of in-person and virtual training sessions.

Minimum qualifications

We recognize that your time is valuable. For transparency, we will be looking for the following minimum qualifications:

  • An Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Gender Studies, Psychology, Public Health, Behavioral or Social Sciences, or related field;

  • Two years’ experience coordinating or administering services for survivors of sexual and/or interpersonal violence;

  • Two years’ experience designing and/or facilitating adult learning programs;

-OR-

Any combination of experience or education equivalent to four years of experience that supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the position.

  • Experience engaging and collaborating with diverse communities; especially experience working with urban, rural, and frontier communities across Oregon.

  • Has a keen attention to detail, especially while managing multiple priorities and projects.

  • The ability to maintain a flexible and open mindset, in particular when it comes to creative problem solving.

  • The ability to work both independently and in groups or partnerships.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who brings the following:

  • Bilingual or multicultural proficiency preferred, but not required.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of systems and community based partners, including advocacy programs, criminal justice systems, medical systems, and college and university campuses.

  • Proficiency with multiple forms of technology and applications, including Zoom (or similar), design programs, Microsoft Suite, Google suite, etc.
