Original Air Date: August 7, 2018

Health care professionals are in a unique position to identify signs of human trafficking. This training, co-hosted with Oregon Department of Justice, will help educate Oregon Sexual Assault Examiners about the dynamics around human trafficking, red flags to watch out for, and ways in which you can support your patient safely. At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
1. List three barriers that commonly prevent trafficking victims from disclosing.
2. Identify four red flags that may indicate a patient is experiencing trafficking.
3. Verbalize three key tenets to a trauma-informed, safety-centered, empowering medical response to trafficking patients.
