Mei Pomegranate (she/her)

Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Coordinator

Mei is a dedicated Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) who is passionate about providing comprehensive care to individuals of all ages, aiming to serve examiners across the state, support survivors, and close gaps in care across the state of Oregon.

Having assumed the position of SANE Coordinator in 2023, Mei’s journey with the Oregon SATF began years ago when she served as a SATI SAE instructor, a member of the SANE Certification Commission (SCC), and co-chair of the Medical Forensic Committee (MFC).

Throughout her career, which began in 2013, Mei has dedicated herself to providing care in various acute and emergency care and community-based settings, working to uphold standards of medical care and support for survivors of violence. Additionally, she has actively engaged with the community, collaborating with organizations such as Children Advocacy Center (CAC), Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), and Domestic Violence Council (DVC) to enhance community-based services and address the unique needs of survivors.

Mei is a firm believer in the power of collaboration and lifelong learning. She approaches each opportunity with humility and a desire to learn from others, recognizing that the collective expertise and insights of the team are essential in improving the delivery of care.
