Oregon SATF’s current contract with OHA runs through January 31, 2026, with an expectation for renewal. We cannot guarantee continuation of this position if federal funding is withdrawn or altered.

What you will do in this role

The Prevention Coordinator provides leadership for Oregon SATF’s activities related to developing, promoting, and implementing violence and abuse prevention strategies across the state. This includes coordinating the Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) grant program and its related contractual obligations.

In this role, you will spend your time:

  • Responding to questions and technical assistance requests from local violence prevention programs and other partners working to implement prevention strategies in their communities.

  • Administering statewide Rape Prevention and Education (RPE) grants to local programs and supporting completion of associated contract requirements, budgets, deadlines, and best practices.

  • Representing Oregon SATF in statewide meetings, workgroups, and other spaces where violence prevention work is happening or may be needed.

  • Designing, coordinating, facilitating, updating, and evaluating violence prevention training and educational resources.

  • Serving as the Oregon SATF liaison to the Prevention and Education Committee and Men’s Engagement Committee.

  • Collaborating with coworkers on events, training, resource development, and other activities across programs to support Oregon SATF’s Continuum Model for Prevention + Response.

  • Other ongoing and ad-hoc activities may be assigned to adapt to the evolving needs of the program and the organization.

Minimum qualifications

For transparency, we will be looking for the following minimum qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of sexual assault dynamics and the systems that serve survivors of violence and abuse.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience delivering or coordinating violence prevention programming.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field OR additional related work experience beyond the minimum three years.

  • Experience developing and facilitating training, group meetings, and workgroups.

  • Demonstrated ability to make the connection of oppression as a root cause of violence and abuse.

  • Knowledge and experience with core concepts of public health/health promotion as a part of violence and abuse prevention strategies and approaches.

  • Experience working with broad and diverse coalitions of stakeholders.

  • Skill with standard office equipment and software, including Google Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and Zoom.

Desired additional attributes:

  • Skill with additional software applications, including Canva, Smartsheet, and Docusign a plus.

  • Experience with grant and/or contract management is highly desirable.

  • Experience with analyzing and developing policies that advance violence prevention strategies.

  • Experience working on grant proposals and collaborating with funders.

  • Experience with systems-level violence prevention and/or response work, as well as the ability to make connections and build relationships between direct service providers and the larger systems and institutions in the field.

  • Bilingual or multicultural proficiency is appreciated, but not required.
