What you will do in this role

The Administrative and Membership Coordinator provides critical operational support to Oregon SATF’s programs, advisory committees, and the SANE Certification Commission (SCC).

In this role, you will spend your time:

  • Processing membership and SCC application materials, including tracking documentation, liaising with the office of the Oregon Attorney General to complete committee appointments, and communicating with community members and allied partners;

  • Managing logistical support for Oregon SATF events, including securing venues, working with vendors, preparing event materials, printing name tags, and supporting registration;

  • Providing general administrative support to the executive director and Oregon SATF programs, including ordering supplies, receiving mail, and general office maintenance;

  • Cultivating and maintaining multi-disciplinary relationships with partners working to collectively prevent violence and abuse across the lifespan, including advocates, preventionists, law enforcement, prosecutors, healthcare providers, campus program staff, and other community members;

  • Assisting the SANE Coordinator in preparing for bi-monthly SCC meetings, including preparation of meeting materials and email communication with SCC members;

  • Providing general communications and community engagement support, such as carrying-out website updates, registering virtual training participants in e-learning systems, and copy editing and formatting documents and reports;

  • Responding to phone calls and email inquiries from community members.

Minimum qualifications

We recognize that your time is valuable. For transparency, we will be looking for the following minimum qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED. Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred, but not required;

  • Two years’ experience providing professional administrative support or coordination;

  • Working knowledge of standard office software, including Google Suite, Microsoft Suite, and Zoom; skills with Canva, Smartsheets, and e-learning platforms is a bonus;

  • Keen attention to detail, especially while managing multiple priorities and projects; and

  • A commitment to social and racial justice, and a willingness to continue that work as part of Oregon SATF’s staff.

Any combination of experience or education equivalent to four years of experience that supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed for the position.

Desired attributes

  • Experience engaging and collaborating with diverse communities; especially experience working with urban, rural, and frontier communities across Oregon.

  • Experience working in a non-profit or social service organization.

  • The ability to maintain a flexible and open mindset, in particular when it comes to creative problem solving.

Additionally, we are looking for someone who brings the following:

  • The ability to work both independently and in groups or partnerships.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of systems and community based partners, including advocacy programs, criminal justice systems, medical systems, and college and university campuses.

  • Bilingual or multicultural proficiency is strongly preferred!
