Our Core: Task Force Advisory Committees + Members
To accomplish our mission and ensure collaboration, we rely on the advice, work, and dedication of our eight Task Force Advisory Committees, and the Task Force Steering Committee.
These committees are comprised of 200+ dedicated, inventive, and collaborative Oregonians from across the state, who together inform and guide the work of Oregon SATF staff.
Committee members work in a wide variety of disciplines across the spectrum of prevention and response, ensuring that our work at Oregon SATF is approached through a multi-disciplinary lens.
Committees meet quarterly, and appointed members commit to two hours of work between meetings to coordinate committee projects and business.
The Steering Committee is comprised of the co-chairs of all the committees. These co-chairs come together to review publications, projects, and membership from all the committees. This strategy allows Oregon SATF to have a multi-disciplinary review of all work coming out of our committees.

Advocate Response Committee
The purpose of the Advocate Response Subcommittee is to ensure that survivor voices and informed choices guide the response to sexual assault.

Campus Committee
The purpose of the Campus Subcommittee is to promote sexual violence prevention efforts and a survivor-centered sexual assault response on college and university campuses.

Criminal Justice Committee
The purpose of the Criminal Justice Subcommittee is to continue to improve the criminal justice system response to sexual assault by facilitating a successful and positive outcome for victims and the community.

Legislative Public Policy Committee
The purpose of the Legislative & Public Policy Subcommittee is to develop, monitor and advocate for legislation and public policies that best address sexual assault.

Medical Forensic Committeee
The purpose of the Medical Forensic Subcommittee is to develop an effective medical response to and standardize the care of sexual assault victims throughout the state of Oregon.

Men's Engagement Committee
The Men’s Engagement Subcommittee seeks to engage men and boys as allies in the effort to prevent and respond to men’s violence, by promoting diversity, social justice, and healing.

Offense Management Committee
The purpose of the Offense Management Subcommittee is to specifically address issues related to the assessment, management, and treatment of sexual offenders.

Prevention + Education Committee
The purpose of the Prevention and Education Subcommittee is to define and promote violence and abuse prevention by engaging in activities to increase awareness of sexual violence and prevention strategies, and to provide support, guidance and training relating to sexual violence prevention and education.

Once you have decided on a committee of interest, please email the staff member listed on the committee’s page to share your interest in attending a meeting.
Staff will assist you in being able to attend a meeting, and answer any questions that you may have about the committee, current openings, and current work being done by the committee.

After attending a meeting as a guest, you are welcome to submit an application for the committee you are interested in.
To find your committee’s online application, please scroll up on this page, or click on the committee for which you want to apply. Look for the application button, click, and select the committee you are interested.

SATF Task Force Advisory Committee members are appointed by the Oregon Attorney General after completing our application process.
Submit your application
Your application is then reviewed by Oregon SATF staff
Next, your application goes to the committee you are applying to. Members determine passage of applications by majority vote.
SATF’s Steering Committee (co-chairs of all committees) reviews your application, and makes a recommendation about whether or not the application will be forwarded to the Attorney General for approval.
Finally, the Oregon Attorney General appoints all recommended applicants to their respective committees!
