This toolkit has been designed as a guide that can be used by both new and established sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) programs. It compiles multidisciplinary input from across the state to support programs in providing high-quality medical-forensic care to patients after a sexual assault. The SANE Toolkit Companion provides sample policies and resources in an editable document that health care facilities can adapt and use.
