Conducted in partnership with Oregon DOJ Crime Victims’ Services Division, this training will help educate Oregon Sexual Assault Examiners on the SAVE (Sexual Assault Victims’ Emergency Medical Response) Fund, available to cover the cost of a medical-forensic sexual assault exam. At the end of this training, participants will be able to:
1. State four services covered by a complete medical-forensic exam, and within what timeframe such an exam will be covered by the SAVE Fund.
2. State three services covered by a partial medical-forensic exam, and within what timeframe such an exam will be covered by the SAVE Fund.
3. Verbalize three reasons why a medical intervention may not be covered by the SAVE Fund.
1 CEU will be provided upon completion.
