The training will take place on March 13th-17th, 2017 from approximately 8AM-5PM. You must be able to attend the entire week to register. This training is open to new advocates who have not previously received comprehensive basic sexual assault training and those who provide crisis and other support services to sexual assault survivors from small and rural programs. It will cover the foundational topics of sexual assault advocacy in supporting adult and adolescent survivors.
Due to limited funding and capacity, SATF will be prioritizing applicants who are:
- new advocates in need of certification to be confidential and privileged under HB 3476
- new advocates who have not received basic sexual assault training
- advocates providing services in rural/frontier regions
- tribal and advocates providing culturally specific services
- advocates from small programs
A limited number of scholarships to cover travel (lodging, Per Diem, mileage) are available for travel Sunday March 12th through the morning of Friday March 17th, based on need. If you wish to apply for a scholarship, please complete the entire scholarship application portion below the advocate training application.
*If you have travel funds budgeted and available for the costs of this training, we ask that you utilize those funds so that we can offer scholarships to other participants.
Applications will be accepted through February 21st, 2017. You will be notified via email of your application/scholarship status shortly after that date.
Thank you for your interest in the 2017 Advocate Training. Due to a very high number of responses, we are no longer accepting applications. We are working to review those that have been received already, and will notify folks of their application status no later than February 27th, 2017.Register
