Oregon Sexual Assault Law Enforcement and Prosecutor Training
The Oregon Sexual Assault Law Enforcement and Prosecutor Training Project aims to increase Law Enforcement and Prosecutors’ capacity to effectively respond to, investigate and prosecute sexual assault crimes by providing sexual assault specific training. This training will equip participants to implement new and emerging techniques and best practices in sexual assault investigation and prosecution. The training will be discipline specific and topics will include Neurobiology of trauma, sexual assault dynamics, techniques for investigation and prosecution, report writing, serial sex offenders.
-Two prosecutor trainings have taken place already, one in Salem, OR and the second in Bend, OR.
-This project will culminate with multiple one-day conferences around the state of Oregon. We will be bringing both Law Enforcement and Prosecutors together to discuss collaborative work in our communities. Dates and locations for these conferences will be forthcoming in 2017.
