About the Student Campus Committee

The Student Campus Committee was founded in 2018 by a group of 7 students from colleges and universities across Oregon. The mission of the committee is to increase student-centered resources and leadership in the prevention and intervention of sexual, relationship, and interpersonal violence on college campuses across Oregon, bridge the gap between the students and administration regarding these issues, and represent the student perspective in relevant legislative efforts.

Committee members participate in discussions and projects related to current issues in sexual violence prevention and response in Oregon, including: network-building across and between campuses, training on current issues, and legislative advocacy. The committee also provides feedback to SATF’s Campus Program and Campus Committee on work product, projects and trainings. Students serve a one-year tenure as committee members from August-July.
