Training: Assessment and Treatment of IPV Victims

The Sexual Assault Training Institute  (SATI) of the Oregon Attorney General’s Sexual Assault Task Force is hosting Dr. Jenifer Markowitz for a two-day training in the Assessment and Treatment of Intimate Partner Violence Victims. This training is open only to currently certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (certification either by the Oregon SANE Certification Commission or the International Association of Forensic Nurses).

The 2-day didactic training covers:
• Dynamics of Intimate Partner Violence
• Assessment and Treatment of the IPV Patient
• Strangulation Assessment and Treatment
• Discharge and Safety Planning

We will be holding Advocate Training in Salem from October 22-26, 2012.

Registration Fee: FREE!

Scholarships will be available.
Priority will be given to advocates who have not had any previous sexual assault specific training, and to advocates from rural areas of Oregon.
Please contact us if you need interpreter services.
Simultaneous webcast may be available throughout the training.
