SANE Program

The SANE Program provides technical assistance and support to SANEs, clinics and hospitals across the state of Oregon.

SANEs are registered nurses with specialized training and clinical experience in providing forensic examinations of sexual assault victims. SANEs are part of a larger coordinated response to sexual assault and therefore often work closely with law enforcement officers, forensic lab staff, child protective services, prosecutors, and sexual assault advocates and crisis programs.

For information or technical assistance, please contact June Harms, SANE Program Coordinator here or 503.990.6541.

Oregon SANE Listserv

The Oregon SANE Listserv is sponsored by the Attorney General’s Sexual Assault Task Force. It is intended to serve as a forum for discussion, news and information related to the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner policy and practice.
